The Discovery sidecar is the same Rust code as production Bolt. Only the packaging differs — single binary, embedded Postgres, founder-led for 30 days.

  • Aeira Catalog tier baked into the sidecar — identity-bound search across whatever corpus the user chooses to ingest locally (DMS folder, mailbox, Drive sync, code repo).

How is Discovery different from the Pilot tier?

Different deployment shape, different validation question. Discovery deploys Bolt as a sidecar — each user runs it locally on their laptop. There is no install in your data center. Best for “does this work for my team?” Pilot ships the production server build via Docker compose (single-host) or Helm (multi-node) inside your VPC, on-prem, or cloud account. Can Discovery convert into a Pilot or Founding Customer engagement?

Yes. If you decide to expand at day 30, the $5K applies as a credit against the Pilot tier or against year one of any Bolt or Aeira annual.

Why a sidecar deployment and not a real install?

At 10 seats and 30 days the install-and-tear-down cost of a production deployment outweighs the validation signal. The sidecar is the same product code as production — just packaged for laptop-local execution. You learn whether the workflow works; later you graduate to production for the scale and uptime guarantees.

Is the price negotiable?

Not at this entry rung. The $5K is intentionally flat so the conversation is about fit, not price. If $5K is the wrong scale, the free Aeira Catalog tier is a lower-friction technical fit-test.

What does success look like at day 30?

Three to five of your users can each name the 3 workflows Bolt changed for them. We sign off on a one-page outcomes note together. You decide: graduate to Pilot, sign Founding Customer, run a second Discovery in a different scope, or walk.
